Adam Lambert made show tunes night at Splash bar in NYC a bit gayer last night. Towleroad received these photos from reader Len Evans of Lambert, his group, and fans (above), and Splash promoter Dougie Meyer (below).

A poster to the forums at Broadway World gushes:

"What I thought was just going to be a regular night at Musical Mondays at SPLASH Bar turned-out to be pretty exciting. Around 9:30pm, none-other-than Adam Lambert himself comes strolling in! With about 3 friends, he moved to the back of the bar into a booth. And... a million cell phones immediately whipped out texting friends and updating their Twitter/Facebook statuses. . . )

Getting to work on her hit show, Taylor Momsen was looking every bit the rock-chic in laddered tights and parka jacket on the “Gossip Girl” set in New York on Monday (December 7).

The blonde beauty was seen carrying a guitar on the way to her trailer, meeting up with her co-stars before doing her thing for the cameras in the Big Apple’s Upper West Side.

Arrests In John Stamos Extortion Plot

FBI: Pair sought $680,000 payoff over actor's 2004 party photos

DECEMBER 7--Actor John Stamos was the target of an extortion plot allegedly hatched by a pair of Michigan residents who threatened to release photographs that would harm his reputation unless they were paid nearly $700,000, The Smoking Gun has learned. According to the below FBI affidavit, the photos were taken at a party in Florida, where Stamos was vacationing.

tl;dr - continuing story under the cut )

To sum it up, two idiots that own a night club where I live (nicknamed the "Skeet Skeet") in the friggin Upper Peninsula of Michigan tried to blackmail John Stamos with some photos of him doing god knows what at some party in Florida in 2004.

Raleigh, N.C. — Reality TV star Kate Gosselin spent more than three hours serving food at Finch's Restaurant at 401 W. Peace St. Tuesday morning as cameras captured her every move.

Gosselin's bodyguard, Steve Neild, quickly ushered WRAL reporter Amanda Lamb out of the diner and said they were shooting a "test" segment for a future program.

He declined to give any other details and told WRAL News to leave.

Neild directed restaurant employees to close the blinds so WRAL's cameras could not get shots of Gosselin. She and her crew then huddled in a side room in the restaurant and left soon after.

Gosselin gained fame on TLC's show, "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which followed the parents of twins and sextuplets. The couple is in the process of getting a divorce.

Of the top 10 albums of the decade, Eminem has two: The Marshall Mathers LP, with 10.2 million in sales, and The Eminem Show, with 9.8 million.

By Edna Gundersen, USA TODAY
The race to dominate the decade in music has come down to Eminem and The Beatles in the stretch. The winner?

Both. The rapper emerges as the top-selling artist of the past 10 years, and the Fab Four have bragging rights to the best-selling album.

With 32.2 million copies sold, Eminem leads the pack in overall album sales, followed by The Beatles with 30 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan, which releases its decade tabulations today. Data were tallied through Nov. 1, and though figures could rise through Dec. 31, they won't alter the rankings.

DECADE'S DIGITAL REVOLUTION: Tracks, radio acts and more

The Beatles' hits compilation 1 sold 11.5 million, edging 'N Sync's No Strings Attached, with 11.1 million. Eminem has two titles among the top 10 albums, 2000's The Marshall Mathers LP at No. 4 with 10.2 million and 2002's The Eminem Show at No. 5 with 9.8 million.

An early and roaring start paid off for The Beatles and 'N Sync. Released Nov. 13, 2000, 1 sold 595,000 its first week, 662,000 the next and 1.3 million during Christmas week. It spent eight weeks atop the chart. No Strings, issued March 21, 2000, sold 2.4 million its first seven days, the biggest week in SoundScan history.

"When you get toward 11 million units, it has to be more than early momentum," says Eric Weinberg, president of Nielsen Entertainment. "It needs to be good. What's amazing about this industry is that we really never know what the numbers are going to be."

Case in point: the unexpected mainstream success of St. Louis rapper Nelly, whose hit-laden 2000 debut Country Grammar is the 10th best-selling album, with 8.5 million copies. Norah Jones' 2002 debut, Come Away With Me, was another surprise hit, boosted by five Grammys. It lands at No. 3 with 10.5 million.

Former Today show anchor Bryant Gumbel is being treated for lung cancer, he told Kelly Ripa.

“They took part of my lung and they took some other goodies,” Bryant, 61, said on Live with Regis & Kelly on Tuesday.

“The pathology on most of the stuff came back benign,” he said, “but enough aggressive cells had escaped the tumor that it warranted some treatment.”

“I went through that and it’s done now.”

Bryant also shared that he’ll be seeing his surgeon next week but is okay for the time being, saying he hopes he gets clearance to play golf again soon.

All our best to Bryant and his family - here’s hoping for a speedy recovery!

It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Lauryn Hill out and it doesn’t seem like we’re missing anything.

Via necolebitchie.com, the singer was spotted in a store in New Jersey by a Twitter user, sporting a lumberjack shirt and jeans with a baseball cap over her afro. She is still a far cry from Lauryn of the past, but this is actually this is one of the better looks that Ms. Hill has been caught in, in the past few years. Some of her pictures are straight unrecognizable!

What happened to this sultry singer who was killing the charts in the 90’s? I keep hoping for a comeback, but the last time Lauryn was supposed to hit the stage for a comeback tour in June, she canceled her tour due to health reasons.

AllHipHop.com reports that’s she’s scheduled to join Wyclef Jean and perform during the Raggamuffin Music Festival in Rotorua, New Zealand on January 23rd, 2010. Here’s hoping the new year will be a fresh start for this falling star.

Are you hoping Lauryn Hill makes a full comeback or are you over her?

"All humans are born with the ability to be attracted to both sexes. I could see myself in a relationship with a girl." Rihanna won't rule out a same-sex romance.

Meanwhile, her ex Chris Brown blames his public relations team for the disastrous video apology he posted online following his attack on Rihanna. In the footage, Brown admitted he was "very ashamed" of his "inexcusable" actions, but claimed he had been warned to keep quiet about the case for the sake of his own career. Brown was widely criticized for appearing to read his lines from a teleprompter with his detractors accusing him of being insincere in his apology.

Mariah Carey has learned to cover up her curves after years of dressing provocatively to boost her low self-confidence.

The singer was just entering her teen years when she learned that wearing skimpy outfits would win her compliments - and the revelation prompted her to flaunt more of her body as she got older and embarked on a career as a pop star.

However, the Hero hit-maker admits that at 39 years old, she's finally learned how to dress to keep herself happy.

She tells Paper magazine, "I have had very low self-esteem my whole life. When I was 12 or 13, I remember walking up the driveway, and this guy who was 20 - which may have been highly inappropriate - said to me, 'I like your pants,' and I was like 'Oh, that looks good? Oh, OK, I will wear tight pants now."

Everyone's beary boyfriend, Eli Roth, talked to PopWrap about everything that makes me smile...down there. From his body to his blueberries, this guy was cute, forthcoming and, per usual, left us hungry for more!

The best bits:

PopWrap: And no classic Quentin character is complete without a cool name and I think Bear Jew kinda takes the cake.
Eli: Well it's funny because I've always been compared to some sort of animal. On "Cabin Fever" they called me hair director. On "Hostel" one of the Czech extras saw me in a tank top and casually referred to me as "Gorilka" which is Slovak for gorilla. So from that point on, it was over. Everyone was always, "Where's Gorilka? We need Gorilka on set!"

PW: I'd imagine high school was also fun then.
Eli: There was a girl who nicknamed me wolfie, so I've always been compared to some sort of furry animal. So I just embraced it -- and Bear Jew felt like the natural evolution.

PW: Well it obviously hasn't hurt, you were named Most Fit Director by Men's Health Magazine.
Eli: Winning that is sort of winning best dancer at a bar mitzvah. Who's your competition? Aunt Gladys? Basically if you can button your pants, you're the most fit director. But since that article in 2006, it's funny how Richard Kelly, Edgar Wright and all these other directors have been hitting the gym like crazy. They're actively trying to take away my title. So now I've really got to stay in shape because everyone wants to be crowned the Most Fit Director.

PW: Well, if you lose the title, I think your Blueberries will have something to say about it!
Eli: The Blueberries love me no matter what shape I am. That's what is so great about them. Look, I had fans before, but they were always big tattoo-covered dudes. The Blueberries take it to a whole other level -- they take every photo of me and create these amazing videos and macros. We actually had a midnight screening of "Inglorious" last week and they brought me blueberry soda and made blueberry pajamas. It's a good thing we were in a public place, otherwise they would have eaten me alive!

PW: But it's not like you didn't give them enough material to work with!
Eli: I'm a very generous director [laughs]. I'm very giving. You know, I've certainly had girlfriends in the past, but I've never had girls seek me out like this before. And I thought, instead of pursuing any of this, what if I just had cyber sex with everyone at the same time and people freaked out. It was one of the funniest, weirdest social experiments ever.

PW: So it was a good first experience for you?
Eli: Actually, when I was in college I used to work as an online operator for Penthouse, posing as a woman. That's how I paid for my student films. They hired guys because guys know what other guys want to hear. So I was on an 800-speed modem in my dorm room with three other guys and, dude, I could type like 120 words a minute! So having cybersex with hundreds of people at once is actually a skill I already had. I just hadn't busted it out since college. It was like, "Hey, I haven't lost my touch!"

PW: I'm fairly certain every guy who visited Penthouse.com just had an "oh crap" moment!
Eli: The creepy thing was, because this was in 1991, we only got doctors and scientists because they were the ones using the Internet. One guy told a customer he was a stripper and he started FedExing him cash -- I never took it to that level, but guys were paying $1 a minute to talk with us. There were ads for me in magazines too!

PW: What was your Penthouse.com name?
Eli: OK, so I'm actually terrified to reveal my name because I had some regular customers -- but one of them was Tami. She was a dirty whore who lived in the East Village. Tami was a heavy metal chick who had a gang bang with Guns & Roses and Poison in one night!

Glee
Glee is growing on me. I’m not obsessed, but this season has had a few really stand out moments so far. Like the episode where Kurt joins the football team, and they all dance to Beyonce’s Single Ladies on the field. Football players in Beyonce mode = instant win. Mathematical FACT.

I also really loved the duet that Kristin Chenoweth did with Mr. Shue in the episode where she played the never-graduated thirty-something who re-enrolls in high school and joins the Glee Club as a ringer. I have a deep and abiding love for Wicked, and since Kristin’s from my home town (Broken Arrow, Oklahoma- right outside Tulsa), I’ve always been a huge fan.

Plus, as a YA author, I appreciate the fact that a show set in high school is rocking (no pun intended) the Nielson ratings on a major network. For me, the strongest episodes are the ones that capture some hint of high school flavor, and most of the adult storylines (Shue and his wife, Emma and the football coach, Emma and Shue), I could pretty much do without. And the wife character is a perfect example of characters-who-are-meant-to-be-annoying-and-therefore-just-annoy-me, but, on the whole, I’m still watching and mostly enjoying. And I am beyond psyched that Joss Whedon is directing an episode. From the man who brought us Dr. Horrible and Once More With Feeling, I expect great things- even if he's not writing the episode (oh, how I wish that he were!)
